______________

In December, 2009, I moved from the beautiful mountains of Asheville, NC to the very pleasant southern city of Madison, MS. I intend to continue selling books from my new location, just as in the past.

At present my business is solely over the internet, and by telephone and mail order. However, appointments can be made to examine and purchase specific items.

This website was first established in October, 2002, and has had well over 40,000 visitors since then, including over 40,000 to the homepage and many thousands more directly to other pages.

This website can be found at both of the following URL addresses: http://www.finebindings.net and http://www.majure.net. - But regardless of which URL address you use, you will arrive at the same website with exactly the same listings, etc.

Since this is a one man operation and a retirement avocation, and due to my rather irregular hours, it is easiest to reach me by email. Telephone inquiries are also welcome. Here is my contact information:

Note: The business name that I chose, Montpelier Books & Art, is derived from the name of Marion Dupont Scott's legendary thoroughbred horse farm in Virginia. I just liked the name, and also happened to have two copies of the beautifully boxed and leather-bound 500 copy limited edition book, Montpelier by Marion Dupont Scott & Gerald Strine, at the time that I chose the name. - Those two copies sold quickly to European collectors of "Sporting Books". And I hope to handle the book again in the future.
