Gilt illustration on front cover. Marbled endpapers. Illustrated with 435 very high quality colorplate reproductions of John J. Audubon's original handcolored engravings, some of which fold-out.

Slightly rubbed extremities. No other flaws or wear. This is a very beautiful book in NEAR FINE CONDITION.

Bound in full reddish-brown leather with gilt decoration and gilt lettering. Gilt page edges. Ribbon bookmark bound-in. Marbled endpapers. This is an unread copy acquired directly from the publisher and it has never been owned by a consumer. It was published by Gryphon in 1992 and while in storage during the last 15 years, it has acquired just a tiny bit of rubbing to the page edge gilt, with no loss of gilt. No other flaws or wear noted. NEAR FINE CONDITION.
